Burberry Beauty

I had the chance to work with Burberry's new line a few weeks ago. It is such a great line to work with. If you like to accentuate your natural beauty without over doing it, this is definitely the line for you. I wanted to share my faves from the line with you. :)

The foundation is beautiful. It is soft, but it covers and evens out the skin tone. It gives you a light to medium coverage. I really love the mascara. Although it isn't waterproof, it works very well. Gives length and volume. I was surprised because I can never find a great mascara vs. Voluminous by Loreal(it's waterproof, of course). The glosses are to die for. They look like glass on the lips. Very shiny, but not sticky. I don't mind the stickiness of other glosses but a lot of my clients do. I really loved the pressed powder as well. I dusted it on over the foundation with a brush. It gives a satin smooth finish on the skin. Beautiful! The eyeliners are great as well. They aren't waxy but do glide on very easy and you can also use them as a base over the eyelid for a smokey eye. The packaging is so elegant and luxurious, as you can view in the video. The line is still expanding so look out for more wonderful products. :)

So Jesiree came across the new Complex Magazine with Nicki Minaj on the cover and she asked me if I thought there was a similarity with our image…..What do you think? Coincidence????????? All I know is Jesiree and Nicki are very different women, and it works for the both of them.

He had no idea he would have a makeup artist for the shoot, so he was a little taken back by it, but I reassured him that he wouldn't have a ton of makeup...in fact, I can't stand when you can tell a man is wearing makeup, unless he is trying to go for that look, of course! I had the pleasure to work on the shoot for Koral Swimwear designed by Ilana. She is from Brazil, so you know she has been inspired mucho! :) The bikini's are so cute, and the bottoms are hot! This photo shoot was for the look book and the website www.koralswimwear.com(which is under construction)and was shot by Julian at Image Focus. Model's Michelle and Evelyn were great! I can't wait to see the final images......

From time to time, I tend to get a little delirious during photo shoots....Here's one of my moments with one of my BFF's who I brought along for carpool purposes (LOL) and company of course!...Love you Nagaraaaa! P.S. Julian joined for some fun as well....

I received these images just the other day and I couldn't be more pleased. Jen was such a beautiful bride and her and Kenny were married in August. They were married in Laguna Beach. Liz Hernandez is one of my clients(also a great friend). She was chosen to be the spokes model for their look book for spring 2010. I am very lucky to work with her. She is a natural beauty, but I also have fun being creative with her as well. For this shoot we did soft blues on the eyes and pink cheeks with a pink high shine on the lips as well. On Thursday night, I worked with Tim Kash for Mtv. He was doing interviews on pre-movie jitters, and post movie scares. The movie everyone saw(including myself)was "Paranormal Activity." I am not one to get scared from movies. This movie gave me chills throughout the entire viewing. So, I had the pleasure to work with Ron Artest and Natalin on Wednesay with photographer Per Bernal. The shoot is for a cover on Fitness Rx magazine. I had a great time. When I first saw Natalin, I was stunned by her natural beauty. She has flawless, golden skin which made me not want to put anything on it! I believe everyone could use a little makeup, but Natalin is the exception. When I was done with Natalin's makeup, it was time to oil them both up. I was on twitter a little bit ago, and I saw a pic of Kim Kardashian that she posted from a shoot she did with Troy Jensen. All I have to say is, "AMAZING!" If you have ever heard me say that a true makeup artist that does hair as well is usually better at makeup, and a true hair stylist that does makeup as well is usually better at hair.....well, I am eating my words now!!!!!! Can I just say that Troy Jensen does both, not to mention photography as well? He did her calendar for 2009 as well. He does beautiful work! I would love to watch him in action and see how he pulls all three off and how much time he takes. I admire him. Did, I mention that I would love to work with Kim Kardashian because that woman has amazing features. If any of you know her, tell her to give me a buzz. :)
